Intended learning outcomes
This curricular unit objective is to provide students with skills in the area of computer science and computer engineering programming, namely in algorithms and programming in mathematics environment (symbolic and numerical) in order to acquire knowledge and skills for understanding, develop and solve engineering problems with different degrees of complexity through the development of routines in Matlab / Octave. It is also intended that students can acquire all necessary skills as support to different subjects to be taught in other curricular units.
Students should be able to understand and apply the concepts associated with Computing and Programming especially with regard to structured thinking.
